More than 1000 kilometers of hiking trails
At your feet are 1000 kilometres of hikings tracks for beginners and experienced hikers, with idyllic valley and thematic hiking routes, picturesque alpine pasture hikes with over 150 huts that offer meals and/or drinks besides spectacular high alpine tours around and up to the summits of the Dreitausender, the mountains of the Zillertal Alps that are at least 3000 metres high.
If you prefer the easy way up, you can opt for a convenient ride with one of the 11 cable cars that are available in summer and that will take you up to the ideal starting point for one or more memorable mountain tours.
Fascination Hochgebirgs-Naturpark Zillertaler Alpen
Only a stone's throw away from your holiday residence is the uniqueNature park Zillertaler Alps Hochgebirgs-Naturpark Zillertaler Alpen, that covers an area of 379 square kilometres. The park stretches from Mayrhofen up to the summit of the highest mountain of the Zillertal Alps, the 3509 m high Hochfeiler. The area impresses with its overwhelming natura panorama, defined by the agriculturally cultivated landscape on the bottom of the alpine pastures and the unspoiled mountain scenery in the areas that are located higher up.
The tranquility in the nature park makes it a special refuge for many rare plants, herbs and alpine animals. Hiking tours lead through rugged gorges, colourful flower covered pastures, sloshing alpine streams and the view of the majestic glaciers satisfies the yearning for freedom and takes you into another world, far away from the strains of every day life.
