Stunning 800 kilometres of well laid out cycle and mountain bike routes offer the opportunity, to explore nature within the Zillertal by bike. It makes you feel happy and full of zest for life and it also stimulates your precious health and vitality.

The Zillertalradweg with a length of 31 relatively easy kilometres leads from the beginning of the valley in Strass to Mayrhofen. Along the route, which hardly has any gradients, through the idyllic villages and on the bank of the Ziller river are playgrounds, swimming pools, restaurants and bicycle service station. The bicycle track is particularly popular with families and beginners beliebt and a great way to relax. Should you however be tired or have stayed at one of the coffee house longer than you had planned, you can always take the train back to Mayrhofen with the Zillertalbahn - transport of bicycles is free.

A network that appears to be without end, that leads past forest tracks, single trails and downhill trails makes the hearts of all mountain bike enthusiasts leap for you. The adventurous mountain roads lead both beginners and the technically advanced mountain bikers past brooks that need crossing, roots, sticks and stones. Eight mountain trains will take your bikes up and the only thing you need to do then is to enjoy the exciting rides downhill.

Bitumenized roads are offered for racing cyclists, who can hurtle through the mountain and valley scenery and improve their condition, inhaling the great mountain air. Particularly appealing are the winding mountain roads, including the 40 km long Zillertaler Höhenstraße, the tracks through the side valleys and the ones that will lead you all the way up to the storage reservoirs or the Gerlospass to Salzburg.

A great way to pedal without overstraining yourself. Also a fantastic way to be faster and be able to ride further in order to absorb the wonderful natural settings, with eco-friendly tailwind. The trendy e-bikes can be found at various bycicle rental companies. Another thing, you needn't worry about is, whether you'll make it with the battery. All along the way up the mountains, you will find electric bike charging stations und excellent restaurants. In that way you can recharge your bicycle's battery and your own batteries in order to continue your tour with new energy.
